The Definitive Flush Mount Indicator Thread
Gday!
I was desperately trying to find some flush mount indicators and cant for the life of me find any that will fit properly, only the quite stupid looking round or bulbous ones when googling the term "Kawasaki 2000 ninja 250 flush mount indicators" or hundreds of iterations. Through way too much research I found the part number 23040-1155 which points to an old official Kawasaki diagram and a single company making remakes on their official store and ebay store. Through more research I found these are off the I'm guessing European market bigger brother 1988 GPX600 as I can find photos of these indicators on European photos and 2nd hand ones on some dutch motorbike wrecker websites. But no American or Australian photos of these bikes example https://www.motorparts-online.com/nl...4/knipperlicht https://www.vbmotoparts.nl/product/k...-links-voor-2/ therefore these are an oem Kawasaki flush mount indicator If you want to go that path. However me being in Australia after conversion rates, shipping and tax they become WAY too expensive to justify, plus they were still quite large which I wasn't a fan of so the research continued. I jumped onto the forum digging through old threads which pointed me in the direction of old "AsianCycles" indicators that went through multiple name changes but have been out of business for years now and even their knockoff competitors. They however made the best looking ones Ive seen so far. This forum pointed me to another forum page but this one in particular. I cant remember exactly how I got here but non the less https://forums.ninja250.org/viewtopi...7831ad60351ff4 827185.jpg BINGO! This is exactly what I have been looking for! However as these links are over 10 years old now they didn't work.. BUT having a picture if the exact product as it would be for sale is what I needed to find what I was looking for. I threw it into google image search and it found a singular amazon listing for them. However they are unavailable AND listed for a completely different bike... odd. I was lucky enough to get yet another part number MT224-015, the search continues. https://www.amazon.com/HTTMT-MT224-0.../dp/B0BLRSJCH6 This seems to be an aftermarket part number which was disappointing but it did throw up 3 separate web pages for the same indicator listed for the same wrong bikes.. 2006-2009 Kawasaki Zx Zx14 Zx14R Zzr1400. Now if you google these bikes 1 they are ugly as sin, 2 they don't use this shape indicator at all? however if you throw "Flash Turn Signals For 2006-2009 Kawasaki Zx Zx14" into ebay, google or amazon you get plenty of listings for these indicators so I'm led to believe they have the bike wrong and not the pictures. Through this discovery I found this amazon listing.... which has that same part number again (annoying that didn't https://www.amazon.com/HTTMT-MT224-0.../dp/B0BLQVDWQG Plenty of ebay listings https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...+Zx14&_sacat=0 And the most important one, this aliexpress listing which has measurements FINALLY https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3282...Cquery_from%3A Using these measurements on my own GPX250 they line up pretty spot on. Screenshot 2024-06-26 at 00-40-53 Free Shipping Motorcycle Parts Flash Turn Signals for Kawasaki.png So looks like I'm taking the risk and ordering some to get rid of those horrendous donkey dick stalk indicators. I would like to get the absolute cheapest ones from aliexpress to minimize the risk but they all seem to be chrome and clear BLEH not on a black bike! And honestly cant be farkkeddd painting and smoking them myself. So rip my poor Australian pockets. Biting the bullet and buying already black ones from the states off ebay, holding back conversion rates and shipping cost tears. If anyone else wants these in the future I have hopefully given enough information and part numbers to find them again when all these links die. I have also attached images to do more reverse image searches and give measurements. Goodluck! Yeah mate they did and my suspicions were absolutely correct. They fit perfect and look the part. Just need to cut a bit of your plastic for the wiring to poke through correctly but you cant see once installed
