Hey there, Hi there, Ho there from Toronto

I keep coming back here for walkthroughs while getting my 08 ninjette to run right, so I figured I might as well make an account and download the attachments too.

Thanks to y'all and YouTube I've shimmed, rejetted and removed the snorkel.

Love the old school vB forum software. Never change it.

Hello David, welcome!

Why did you need to rejet and shim? I had my needles shimmed until I had Ducatiman refurb my carbs. Now they run best completely stock.

The bike sat for about 7 years, so i was over eager to clean the carbs and got an Amazon carb rebuild kit which had two mains, one tiny and one way too big for the ninjette. Not realizing it was the new main jet that was the issue, i tried everything else to get ride of the hole that started from 6k onwards.

Reading up on the jetting thread and using the carb calculator online, i got recommendations to run a 105 main, 1.5mm shim along with the 2 bros slipon and new intake filter. And after removing the snorkel, she runs really well, sails past redline, save for fuel mileage, getting 150 miles per tank, wringing it's neck the whole way, im happy with it. I still can't believe this thing is slower than my car up to 60. Sure doesn't feel like 7 seconds.

In hindsight, i shouldve just drained the carbs and filled it with new gas, the atomizer (the worst part, green and scaly) wasn't as varnished as i thought it would be.

Silly right?
