Anyone ever disassembled Cobra F1Rs?
I have some F1R mufflers I got off a guy on another forum years ago. I've refreshed a ton of parts on the bike this year and I want to see to them as well.
As far as I know, these things come apart by bonking the center tubes out of the muffler housing with some kind of unspecified "wood dowel". Mine are old (obviously) and I can't get them apart. I even tried chemdip, but it didn't really loosen anything. They're just hollow cans, and while that's hilarious I'd like to repack them. I'm afraid to mess with heat because they're fairly thin aluminum. Any suggestions? |
