I'd say stick with the K&N or BMC. They are the tops.

They are different filters. BMC & K&N are gauze type filters while the Pipercross is a 3 layer foam filter. It has been proven the foam filters breathe better and are easier to clean. From what I've seen the BMC & K&N are clean and lubed similar and can be a PITA. The BMC & K&N drop in type filters have rubber around them while the Pipercross resembles the stock filter (uses the stock filter frame) and is also cheaper than the other two.
Also Pipercross is a Official partner for the 250 & 600 Ninja Trophy http://blog.pipercross.net/?p=304
(Oh, and the picture on their package is none other than a Kawasaki.)
I wrote Pipercross to find out if they had any data for the Ninja 250. They did not, but they said there is a Kawasaki race team that has done the testing and is using them in their race bikes. My thought is; "Why would any Kawasaki race team run an aftermarket filter if it does not help performance?"
However they do have data for other bikes which I have not seen any for the other air filter brands. http://www.pipercross.net/motorcycle/products.asp
