Hi Kevin,

I'm here. Not quite as active as I was... been working on finishing up rebuilding one of the bikes in the garage.

Plus, the forum has grown exponentially and most (a lot) questions that are asked can be answered with a simple search, so I've taken to not responding to them as much as before. I have also noticed a few others have been posting to help when they can and I like that our base of "ones that help" keeps growing as the forum grows larger. There are some very knowledgeable and helpful people here that have a wealth to contribute if I just stay silent and allow them the chance to answer questions for a change.

I still do respond to those I feel are earnest about learning, but there seems to be a slight change in attitude/atmosphere on the board that was inevitable as time and numbers progressed. This is still the best forum on the web, as far as I'm concerned, so I won't be going anywhere... you aren't that lucky!

Much Aloha from sleepy Kauai

Kelly, your missed dude, but glad to see your still alive and kicking.
Ill second the "this is the best forum on the web" but part of that is because of YOU and your knowlege.
Get that bike fixed and free up a little time for us here. YOU ARE MISSED.
I put you at #1 in the info department. YOU DA MAN. We need ya here as much as you can be.
Keep the faith brother.

The knowledgebase here is robust and ever expanding because of Kelly and others like him. You can't fault anyone for getting tired of answering the same questions 100 times over. But I do hope he stays active for the good of the forum.

Sometimes all it takes is one extra set of experienced eyes to bring quick resolution to a problem that's been plaguing you for months.

And sometimes it just takes an unfriendly kick in the right direction, and that's where kkim really shines.

With a little over 500 posts in the past month (link to top posters list), I think it's clear Kelly continues to go above and beyond in keeping us on the right track here. But we can always hope for 1000+.

Not sure what could be taken wrong about my statement. Im just saying I learn from Kelly as many others do. His perspective is respected in my eyes and his knowlege is INVALUABLE. Ive read and learned from his posts before there was a ninjette.org. He cant be replaced. He is the sole reason I joined here.
I miss his bantor and reading his take on any given issue. Thats all Im saying.
I understand life happens, but after a couple years of seeing someone post ALL THE TIME. You wonder whats the deal, when it drops off a bit.

The poll might be a little over the top. I figured he would understand its JOKE.

I love that this can be a topic of controversy. How much do we love kkim?

Also, OP needs to hang out in the technical areas more, and in off-topic less.

Kelly is the man, we all know and respect him. Always there to help and willing to take the time for new members and riders. He has helped me in the past many times and recently takenthe rime out to help my girlfriend as well. Hell when she noticed the rotor on the bike had grooves and asked me about I told her that I thought it was ok and she looked dead at me and said " Kelly will know, I'll ask him" I just had to lol at that.

We are lucky to have Kelly here for us and as a part of this community. He sets the standard for what a helpful ninjette member should be. Tha is for all you do Kelly, you rock!

Except a LOT of people fault the guys at the "other" forum constantly for doing just that.

And to the OP, Kelly is always around, just not as "in your face" as he used to be. I was going to specualte that he was either riding or wrenching. I had a 50% chance of being right...

It'd be more than a 50% chance if you bet wrenching.

As much as KKIM and I have had our differences I have to say he is invaluable to this forum hands down.

We met a fella who was stranded up at Crystal Lake.... we told told him about the forum and the in depth knowledge of how to find answers to issues a bike may be having. My words were- "Look up a fellow named KKIM."

Everytime I read something KKIM has posted I hear the voice of wise man talking.

Much respect to you KKIM.

iirc his ninjette has been sitting in his garage for months... but he still comes back to us to share his wonderful knowledge. he probably got tired of the "ingrates" as he put it, and their reckless jibberjabber.

kkim!!! we misssss youuuu!!! come baaaaackkkkk

hope he's enjoying some great riding!
